“The Digital Marketing & Advocacy team is responsible for the full lifecycle of online marketing and fundraising activities, from list growth, engagement and retention and site visit strategy, email marketing, SEO/SEM, to quantifying and qualifying the impact of all online marketing efforts and reporting results.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing & Advocacy, the Digital Campaign Writer contributes to the strategic direction of the Brennan Center’s digital audience growth and fundraising efforts by writing content for listicles, targeted e-newsletters, email appeals, fundraising pages/forms, landing pages, and social shareables. The Digital Campaign Writer is also responsible for participating in strategy recommendations for digital campaign initiatives.
You have strong feelings about what an email newsletter should be (and enjoy writing them), but you back all of your opinions up with data. You live for the challenge of translating legalese into a sharply worded tweet or distilling lengthy research findings into an easy-to-understand article. You are passionate about inspiring people to be active participants in our democracy. You always put the user/reader/subscriber/supporter first.”
